Last year, I hosted a small cookie exchange right before Christmas. It sparked “Cookie Week” on Food Marriage last year, where every day I shared one of my friends’ cookie recipes!! Some of the recipes from last year have gone on to become very popular with lots of repins on Pinterest, like Allison’s Mint Chocolate Chip Cookies and my White Chocolate Chip Cookies.
For my 2012 Cookie exchange, I decided to make it a little bigger and had 9 of us that got together to share cookies with each other! I hosted it at my house and we enjoyed a fun girls’ night of yummy appetizers made by me, Christmas music, the fire blazing in the fireplace and lots of laughs!
My friends even surprised me by bring a special signature drink for the evening (recipe to come soon!)
For the actual exchanging of the cookies, we put on our aprons and told each other about our cookies and what we put in them. We shared recipe cards and of course sampled some of the cookies! The best ones of the night??? Chocolate Marshmallow Brownie Cookies, made by my friend Janell (recipe will be on it’s way in a couple days!!!) After exchanging, we attempted a self-timered photo of us, our aprons, and our cookies!!
Recipes from the 2012 Cookie Exchange will be posted each day starting tomorrow! I’m so excited to be able to share “Cookie Week” again on Food Marriage!! While you are waiting for these delicious recipes to appear, definitely check out some of last years’ recipes:
