March is the month of St. Patrick’s Day, so to celebrate my Irish heritage (AND my new married Irish last name of Haggerty), I’ve decided to set myself some cooking goals to honor this! Here’s some of my goals for March!!
My Irish Kitchen Prayer I have hanging in my kitchen. |
- Sharing my Irish Potatoes Recipe – I’ll share my family’s recipe with you for this sweet treat!
- Cooking Classic Irish Fare – My plan is to whip up some classic dishes like Corned Beef & Cabbage. (I hate cabbage, but my husband loves it, so I’ll do it for him!) I’ll also be trying to do a Shepherd’s Pie!
- Cooking with Beer – As everyone knows, the Irish love a good drink or two (or three!!) I’ve never cooked with beer before, so here’s my chance to try it out! Apparently, you can not only coat things in a beer-batter, but you can also add beer to soups, stews, and more! I’m definitely looking forward to exploring some beer cooking ideas!
- Making Potatoes Exciting – The Irish can cook any type of potato any way and make it delicious. I’ll be testing out new ways to make and eat potatoes!
Thanks for reading and I can’t wait to get cooking to share these Irish recipes with you!
