Gummy Vitamins: The Best Thing to Ever Happen to Adults!

Growing up, I had a fear of swallowing pills.  It actually came about because I choked on one when I was young and my mom had to use the Heimlich Maneuver on me.  It took me YEARS to get over it and actually didn’t start swallowing pills again until I was in college.  (I know, really dumb, but true!)

Anyway, because of my fear I was forced to take chewable vitamins.  I suffered through chalky Calcium vitamins and super sour Vitamin C.  If I had a headache, I  took the awful cherry-flavored Children’s tylenol and take more a ridiculous amount of them because they were only child-strength.  You name it; I had to chew it.  And because of the horrible flavors, I ended up not taking my vitamins as I should have.
As I grew out of my fear, I switched to swallowable vitamins, but still was never in the strong habit of taking my vitamins every day.  UNTIL one day, I discovered gummy vitamins!!!!!!!!!!!
I found out there were several varieties from Children’s Flintstones or Disney Princess gummy vitamins to sour gummy vitamins that taste like sour candy.  They even have bear shaped gummies that look just like gummy bears!  (Perfect way to trick kids into taking their vitamins!!)  I started out buying a different brand each month and going through them to determine if there was one I would consider buying consistently.
Some brands definitely did not taste good at all.  But I was able to find some great ones and even some adult-strength gummies!!!  My number one choice based on flavor and texture for a Multi-Vitamin would have to be One a Day VitaCraves.  Also, if you are looking to add an extra punch of Vitamin C during cold season, I found VitaFusion’s brand of Power C to be delicious too!
Thanks to gummy vitamins, I am now taking my vitamins every single day (sometimes twice a day!)
