I am SO happy to reveal the new blog design for Food Marriage!! When I started this blog back in October 2011, I really had no clue what I was doing. I honestly had never even read blogs before starting this one. I did a SMALL amount of research and signed up for a free Blogger account and thought of a catchy name and purchased the domain name of foodmarriage.com (which still surprises me that nobody in the world owned that domain yet!!!)
Now, completely immersed in the world of blogging and still being totally amazed at the number of visitors per day this site gets, I decided I wanted to improve the blog. It has been something I have been thinking about for a long time and finally decided to do it! I knew I did not want to go with the standard old template that I previously had for Blogger. I knew I wanted to develop a “brand.” And I knew I wanted more functionality to be able to add in different plug-ins to the site.
This time, I did ALOT of research. Not being the most technically savvy person, I sought out a designer to help me with the blog makeover. I came across Elizabeth from TMC Designs and knew immediately that she was the one I needed to work with. On her site, she says “Lots of web designers can write solid code. (That’s the science.) And many interior designers can apply principles of design and color theory. (That’s the art.) As for me, I combine art and science in the spirit The Mustard Ceiling-blog and website design with a touch of the unexpected.” How perfect is that!? Just what I was looking for – a great blog design, but also a beautiful look!
Working with Elizabeth has been amazing and I would highly recommend her to anyone that is looking for a blog re-design! She really took my ideas of the style I was looking for and completely captured it better than I could have imagined. She gave me several different logo options and was able to meld together just what I was looking for. She stuck to the timelines she proposed and was quick to answer any questions I had. And she helped me make the switch from Blogger to WordPress (which I am still learning but hope to master it in time!!) In addition to having a great time working with her on the blog design, I am also now a fan of her interior design blog, The Mustard Ceiling.
Thank you again, Elizabeth! I could not have done it without you!!

I’m very proud of my wife for what she has accomplished in over a year with foodmarriage! It amazes me to see how passionate, dedicated, and talented she is with her work with the website. I’m excited for what she has in store for us and am very fortunate to be married to such an excellent cook!
