Meeting Giada De Laurentiis!

My mom and I were so excited to meet Giada DeLaurentiis yesterday!  She did a book signing at the Williams Sonoma store in the King of Prussia mall.  To get in to the event, I pre-ordered Giada’s new cookbook as an early Christmas Present for my mom!

The book signing started at 3:00pm, so my mom and I decided to get to the mall an hour early to get in line.  We were surprised to see how many people had already arrived!!  The line was already weaving through the mall and it turned out we were actually closer to the end of the line!  But we didn’t mind, we were getting excited to meet Giada!

While we were waiting, Williams Sonoma store employees started passing out catalogues to browse through.  Ndulge Cupcake Boutique was handing out delicious cupcakes to everyone in line!   And we also got our new cookbooks, Giada’s Feel Good Food, to start reading!  This new cookbook is all about staying fit, feeling great, and eating healthy!

My mom and I did end up waiting in line three hours before we actually made it into Williams Sonoma to get our cookbooks signed, but the wait was well worth it!  When we got up to Giada, she lit up the room with her smile and enthusiasm.  You could tell that she really loves what she does!  As she was signing our books, I told her that this was my mom’s early Christmas Present, and she said to my mom, “Merry Christmas!!!!!!”

We browsed around the store for a bit, snapped some pictures, and ate some delicious pasta by one of our favorite Italian Markets, Tallutos!  It was a really cool experience and I think it was the perfect present for my mom, who loves Giada!  After we left my mom said, “Oh my gosh!  I wanted to tell her how much I love her Aunt Raffy!!  But I was so starstruck, I forgot!!!!”  So Giada, if you ever read this…..my mom loves your Aunt Raffy!! LOL
