Restaurant Review: The Stone Rose Restaurant in Conshohocken, PA

I got a great recommendation from a girl I work with to check out The Stone Rose Restaurant.  They recently re-opened after a devastating kitchen fire earlier this year in June.  One of my friends and I decided to check it out last night and it was definitely a worthwhile recommendation!!  It is on Fayette Street in Conshohocken, PA between 8th and 9th street.

To start out, they poured us glasses of water with cucumber slices in them.  Quite different than a lemon in your water.  I had never seen that done before and it was unique and gave the water a refreshing quality.

The Stone Rose has a great wine menu (we both sampled one of the Malbec wines) and fabulous food menu!!  They have your standard wine and cheese offerings with cheese platters and have several choices of appetizers, entrees and dessert.  I got their Macaroni and Cheese with Braised Short Ribs (the mac and cheese was to die for!!!)  My friend tried out their crabcakes which were also enjoyable.  For dessert we sampled a pumpkin cheesecake and bread pudding.  YUM!

The Stone Rose Restaurant was a really nice upscale environment with a relaxing feel…just the place to hit after a long day of work to take in a couple glasses of wine.  The staff were friendly and knowledgeable.  I would definitely go back (and sample some of their cheese next time!)
