For my friend’s Bridal Shower this past weekend, I was put in charge of games! I made up a game, that I called “The LIZ Game” (because the bride’s name is Liz).
In this fun game that I created, the guests could win prizes just for being like the blushing bride to be, Liz! I asked different questions to the crowd, and if what I said described them, they would stand up. As I asked more questions, it would eliminate a few people a little at a time, until there was one person left standing. The last person standing at the end of each round would win a prize.
The game I made had seven different rounds, so we were prepared with seven different prizes to give out. Feel free to take a look at my examples below and customize the game for your own bride!!
- Who else got married in the month of April?
- TIE BREAKER: Who else had a live band at their wedding?
- SECOND TIE BREAKER: Who else had their sister as their maid of honor?
- THIRD TIE BREAKER: Whose wedding is the closest to our bride Liz’s wedding date of April 21?
- TIE BREAKER: Who can sing the Penn State Fight Song?
- SECOND TIE BREAKER: If more than one person can sing or are willing to sing, the bride will judge the best version, and they will win a prize.
- TIE BREAKER: Who spells it the same way as our bride A-N-N (without an “e”)?
- SECOND TIE BREAKER: Who else has a sister named Maggie? (If no one has a sister with that name, then does anyone have a relative named Maggie?)
- TIE BREAKER: Who else is the oldest sibling in their family?
- SECOND TIE BREAKER: Whose birthday is the closet to our bride-to-be?
- TIE BREAKER: Whose last name also starts with the letter “L” – the same letter of the groom’s last name?
- SECOND TIE BREAKER: Whose last name is the closest alphabetically to the groom’s last name?
- TIE BREAKER: If no one lives in the same town, or if more than one person live there – who lives the closest to the bride and groom’s new home?
- TIE BREAKER: Who else has been to the bride’s family’s vacation home in Sea Isle?
- SECOND TIE BREAKER: Who can tell the best story of drinking wine in Sea Isle with Liz? (People can share stories, the bride will judge who has the best story, and they will get a prize)
