It’s official – we have a new oven! My husband and I recently purchased a Frigidaire 30-inch Smooth Surface Freestanding Convection Electric Range from Lowe’s. You have no idea how excited we are about this!!!!!!! And as an added bonus, we got a deal at 10% off!
My favorite feature? It’s a convection oven, which cooks food about 30% faster and at about 25 degrees cooler. It has a fan on the inside that circulates the hot air and cooks the food not only faster, but more evenly. It even helps meats cook more crisp on the outside and more juicy on the inside. With most convection ovens, you would have to do the math on the cook time and temperature to convert all of your recipes. However, with THIS oven, there is a “Convection Conversion” button that automatically adjusts the temperature and cook time. It makes it so easy!!!!!!! I’m in love with this feature…you can’t beat being more energy efficient AND cooking your food faster!
My husband’s favorite feature? The oven actually comes with a “Chicken Nugget” button. Yes, that’s right – a button specifically to make cooking one of his favorite foods a snap. Just one click of the “Chicken Nugget” button and you can bake chicken nuggets to perfection! With three racks in this oven, if you are having a party, you could literally cook 150 chicken nuggets in 20 minutes!! And once it is done cooking your nuggets, the oven will automatically switch to a “keep warm” setting. SO fun!
