With the temperature below the freezing mark today, I found myself wishing it was summer!! While dreaming of warmer weather, I thought of a beautiful wedding we went to in the summer of 2011 for friends of ours Joe and Aubrey. It was one of the first all-outdoor weddings I had been to and everything was absolutely beautiful and unique!
For Wedding Wednesday this week, I though I would share some of the beautiful pictures I took as a guest at their wedding. It’s what I would call outdoor chic or rustic vintage!
The ceremony and reception were held in Chester County, PA. The property was owned by someone that the couple knew and was out in the country. To get to it, we literally had to drive on a gravel road through a cornfield until we came up to a beautiful old fashioned farmhouse. The ceremony was under a grove of trees and the guests were seated on hay bales. How unique!!
Every detail was so thought out. From little touches wreaths and lanterns hanging from the trees to the couples initials cut out in greenery, everything was beautiful! There were little chalkboard signs to direct you to cocktail hour and there was even an outdoor lounging area to sip your drinks!
One of my favorite details were the place cards to let guests know where to sit. The couple had rustic wooden doors with a variety of old-fashioned doorknobs attached to the doors. Then the place cards were hanging from the different doorknobs! So creative!!!!!
Dinner and dancing were held under a white tent. And the tables continued the rustic theme with burlap type table runners and simple, elegant flowers. Everything was perfect!!!!! I loved everything about it!!!!!
What do you think of this Outdoor Chic Style??
